Talk:Opposition research

From Pete Ashdown Campaign Collaboration Wiki

You should oppose the expansion of the federal budget, ideally with specific extreme examples. You may not want to sling mud at Republicans, but there should be a lot of conservatives who were bitching about [1] too. You could talk about cutting some of the programs the people mentioned in that article wanted to see cut.

  • Sugar subsides maybe? It could be a health issue for democrats & a tax issue for everybody.
  • Real ID sounds expensive.

[edit] References!!!

We have to have references for all of this. We need to cite bills or media articles. It's great that we're collecting a lot of things that Mainstream Utah might not like, but we have to frame it correctly, and source it properly. Otherwise it's not going to be believed, and it's a campaign weakness. Chadlupkes 16:39, 4 January 2006 (MST)

If you read the page you'll see that I specified exactly where I got the info: The wikipedia page on Hatch (which should be reliable and has ample references on it), the talk page (which isn't and doesn't but is interesting), and the issues2000.org page (which I don't know how reliable it is, but has a lot of references on it.) Someone with more patience than me could copy the exact article links/refs over if they want. BryceHarrington 17:27, 4 January 2006 (MST)
Ok, I'm just used to a different format for references. Chadlupkes 13:42, 18 January 2006 (MST)

[edit] The other Hatch?

Julian Hatch, a cousin of Orin Hatch evidently, is actually running under a Green Party banner. Do we want to include this campaign on our opposition research page? Chadlupkes 13:42, 18 January 2006 (MST)
